This often makes outdoor activities unpleasant in public spaces. In order to counteract this situation, synthetic sound landscapes can be created that allow people to abstract themselves from the irritating sounds of the city. Existing sounds such as noise from car traffic, brakes, horns or other sounds can even be used to control the surround sound system.
